The Goodwood Education Trust connects children and young people with nature, particularly those who are disadvantaged or vulnerable.
In 2026, Goodwood Revival is proud to support the Goodwood Education Trust as its Official Charity Partner, marking 50 years of inspiring children and young people through outdoor learning.
Founded in 1976 by the 10th Duke of Richmond, the Goodwood Education Trust connects young people with food, farming and the natural environment at the heart of the Goodwood Estate. For five decades, the Trust has helped children discover where their food comes from, develop a deeper understanding of nature and build confidence through hands-on experiences outdoors.

As the Trust celebrates 50 years of environmental education, the focus remains very firmly on connecting children and young people with nature, particularly the under-served and more vulnerable. My father’s vision was very forward thinking, and it’s fitting to recognise his legacy, as we meet the needs of the next generation

Since its foundation, the Goodwood Education Trust has provided outdoor learning experiences for thousands of young people, helping them connect with the natural environment and understand the importance of sustainable agriculture.
The Trust works with schools and community groups across West Sussex and East Hampshire, with a particular focus on supporting children and young people who may face barriers to accessing outdoor education.
Its programmes include Farm Visits for Schools, Woodland Learning and Children in the Community, giving young people the opportunity to learn, explore and develop new skills in natural surroundings.

The students have thrived, learning to work together and play together. At the beginning many students were subdued and did not engage with others but are now fully engaged with the group.
