As soon as we arrived, we fell in love with Goodwood House. Even the drive up to the House across the grounds was truly spectacular.
Celia
From the moment Celia and Anthony first visited Goodwood House they were blown away. Aside from the beautiful scenic exterior, what impressed them most?
“The grand entrance to the House, and the beautiful rooms inside were so magical. With the special welcome from the staff, we instantly knew it was the venue for our wedding day.”
The day really was incredible, a lot of this was due to the organisation of the team which made our wedding the most perfect and romantic day. We wish we could do it all over again.
Celia
Our Goodwood staff, as always, went above and beyond to both plan and deliver the couple’s special day. Celia praised how “everything went so smoothly thanks to our wedding planner, Hannah and Head Butler, David – nothing was ever too much trouble.”
“We are most definitely foodies and the food was truly amazing. We are still talking about how incredible the food was.
The food and wine served on our tasting day at the house was faultless, and to have the same standard for over 125 guests on our wedding day was outstanding.
Celia
Our guests commented throughout the day how wonderful the food was, how brilliant the table service was, and we all enjoyed the free-flowing Veuve champagne.”
When asking the newlyweds for a highlight, they simply could not decide on just one.
“We found this a difficult question to answer, as there were so many highlights and lifetime memories made. It truly was the best day of our lives, but now looking back there are moments that make us really smile. One of the most special moment of our day was of course getting married to each other in the beautiful Yellow Drawing Room.”
It was inside the grand State Apartments of Goodwood House which held memorable highlights for groom, Anthony.
“A special moment for me was watching Celia walk down the aisle in a room filled with both of our families and loved ones, and of course our first dance as husband and wife. After months of practising we finally pulled it off!”
Whereas, for bride, Celia, one moment stood out in particular.
“Us both going upstairs onto the balcony with champagne in hand, looking down on all of our guests enjoying themselves. It was special to share that moment with my husband, and then of course throwing my bouquet off the balcony!”
