Chocolate and Chia Gut Health Balls

Chia & Dark Chocolate Truffles are a healthy and delicious snack that can be made in just a few simple steps. These truffles are made with chia seeds, nuts, seeds, coconut, and dark chocolate, resulting in a tasty and nutritious snack that can be enjoyed as a guilt-free indulgence. To create them, follow these steps:

Ingredients:

  • 140g 85% Dark Chocolate
  • 20g Chia Seeds
  • 25g macadamia
  • 25g Cashew nuts
  • 25g Sunflower seeds
  • 25g Pumpkin seeds
  • 10g Coconut
  • 40g Coconut Oil
  • 2 X Medjool Dates
  • ½ tsp Cocoa Powder
  • Honey (Optional)
  • Chia seeds & desiccated coconut to finish

 

Method:

  • Hydrate the chia seeds in 75ml of boiling water, once hydrated add the ½ tsp cocoa powder
  • Roast the cashew nuts, macadamia nuts, sunflower seeds & pumpkin seeds until lightly golden.
  • Toast the desiccated coconut
  • Combine the chocolate & the coconut oil and melt over a Bain Marie, meanwhile blitz the Medjool dates, nuts, seeds & toasted coconut in a food processer until they resemble breadcrumbs.
  • Combine the hydrated chia seeds, nut mix and dark chocolate together and add the honey if using.
  • Chill the mixture but not until it is fully set, roll into 20g balls, and coat the outside in the spare chia seeds & desiccated coconut.
