Arriving by

Bus

If you will be travelling to Festival of Speed via public bus, make sure to end your journey at Chichester bus station located next to the train station. A shuttle bus service will run between the event and Chichester Train Station between 0700 - 2000.

Arriving by train

Sit back, relax and enjoy! Travelling by train is one of the easiest ways to get to the Festival of Speed. 

 

Book your ticket on one of the regular services to the well connected Chichester Railway Station, with trains available from major cities, including Brighton and Portsmouth, and easy routes from London. Once arrived, simply hop-on the shuttle bus service running reguarly between the station and the event gate. It's the best way to skip the morning rush hour traffic and catch a ride straight to the event.

 

When travelling from London, the quickest way to get to Goodwood is from London Waterloo, changing at Havant. The nearest train station to Goodwood is Chichester, with a journey time of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from London. Regular services are also available direct from London Victoria.

 

The shuttle bus service will run between the event and Chichester Train Station between 0700 - 2000.

Arrival is through a carefully planned road network to keep traffic flowing and direct you to the nearest car park; please do not follow your sat nav. Taxi

Choosing a taxi to arrive at Festival of Speed means enjoying a hassle-free journey that lets you focus on the excitement ahead. Relax in comfort as your driver handles the logistics. All taxis should please follow event signage to Gate 1, our designated drop off and pick up area.

Arriving by

Air

Flying into Goodwood Aerodrome is a stress-free way to travel, especially during our busy event period. Enjoy some of the South’s beautiful scenery and experience Goodwood from a unique viewpoint. The Aerodrome is suitable for both rotary and fixed wing aircraft up to 12 meters in length and offers three runways, Air Traffic Control, re-fuelling and engineering services and a professional ground crew on-site. In addition, Elite Helicopters are partners of Goodwood Aviation offering a range of helicopter flights and services.

Safety

If you want to enjoy the fastest way to arrive at the heart of the action at our flagship events, arriving by air at Goodwood Aerodrome will be the best option. We've collated all the information you need to ensure safe travel into and out of the Aerodrome.

All pilots must read the AIC before visiting Goodwoood Aerodrome over events.

We have disabled parking at the front of all our public car parks, please display your Blue Badge and you'll be directed there. If you are worried about accessibility, you can also pre-book our dedicated disabled parking field (Car Park U near the Goodwood Hotel) by contacting the Ticket Office on 01243 755055 who will issue a car label that you will need to gain access.

There are courtesy shuttles in all car parks to give assistance to those unable to walk to the event entrances; they will drop you at Event Gate 1 or the nearest pedestrian entrance depending on which car park you are in. Shopmobility are located at Gate 1 and electric and manual wheelchairs can be booked in advance from them. Call 0300 500 8085 or visit www.cfirst.org.uk for details.

Guests are reminded that the Festival of Speed is on a grassy terrain.

Track Crossing
A track crossing is provided before the Startline, allowing those with accessibility needs to cross the track at almost all times, as opposed to having to wait for track crossings to open between car batches. This will be highlighted on the visitor guide map. Should you require additional assistance, please contact a member of staff.

Toilets
Accessible toilets are available and will be highlighted on the visitor guide map.

A RevoLOOtion unit will be on site - a mobile toilet with hoist and changing table. Please bring your own sling if you wish to use the hoist. The unit is located at the toilet block near Gate 1. More information can be found at www.revolootion.org.uk.

On Site Transport
There is a courtesy shuttle service in all car parks to give assistance to those unable to walk to the event entrances; they will drop you at Event Gate 1 or the closest event pedestrian gate, depending on which car park you are in. Please wait by the Accessible Courtesy Shuttle signs (located within each car park) for assistance or flag down a vehicle as they pass.

A shuttle service using buggies is available within the main event site to help those with accessibility needs get around the different locations and attractions. Please speak to a member of staff who will be able to arrange a shuttle for you.

Shopmobility
Shopmobility are located at Gate 1 and electric and manual wheelchairs can be booked in advance from them. It is essential to pre-book with Shopmobility on 0300 500 8085 or by visiting https://www.cfirst.org.uk/events-mobility/

If you require a courtesy shuttle direct to Shopmobility, we suggest you access the site from the A27 direction (into Car Park A), which is where the quickest courtesy shuttle to Shopmobility will operate from. This service operates in the reverse for departure.

Car parks
Parking at the Festival is free and car parks open from 06:30hrs each day. All car parking is on grassland and overnight parking/camping is not permitted in any car park.

When driving to Goodwood, please respect local neighbourhoods and keep to the speed limits.

Performance Car Park
Reserved parking can be booked for the Performance Car Park, which is especially for selected performance cars. Check your car is eligible and reserve a car parking space just above the Formula 1 paddock or by the Startline. 

Motorcycle parking
Motorcycle parking and helmet storage is available inside Car Park A and will be sign posted. Parking on approach roads is not permitted at any time.

The AA will be on hand in all of the car parks to assist with any vehicle issues you may have, including flat batteries, flat tyres and locked keys in car. Please speak to a marshall on the day.

The Campsite Office, located near the main entrance to your campsite, is open from Wednesday to Monday (24 hours a day on Thursday and Friday). Check-in is between 0700hrs and 2200hrs (1200hrs and 2200hrs on Wednesday), otherwise we will not be able to put you in a pitch until the next day. Should you have any concerns, please see the Campsite Manager. Alternatively, please call the Ticket Office (open during the event between 0700hrs and 1800hrs) on 01243 755055.
