Our Farm Shop is bursting with seasonal delights, and we’re excited to share our latest addition with you - our brand-new butcher’s counter.
Whether you’re craving premium organic steaks, tender cuts for roasting, or the perfect joints for a family meal, our butcher’s counter has something to tempt every taste. With our selection of Goodwood produce changing daily, you can always find something of the highest quality to take home.
By using the traditional butcher’s counter, we are proud to say not only does it allow us to bring you the freshest cuts but also supports our commitment to sustainability. We have been able to reduce our plastic usage by 70%. Instead of having to individually wrap meats to ensure freshness in the fridges, our skilled butchers prepare cuts to order, ensuring that each piece of meat is as fresh as possible while significantly cutting down on waste. We use eco-friendly paper and biodegradable packaging, making it easier for our customers to enjoy fresh, high-quality meat without the environmental impact of excess plastic.
This approach aligns with our values of lessening environmental impact, reducing food waste, and offering our customers more sustainable choices. It’s just one of the ways we’re striving to make your shopping experience not only delicious but also better for the planet.
Here are just a few of the key benefits:
Freshness and Quality
At the butcher’s counter, our meat is freshly prepared every day. Butchered cuts are stored in temperature-controlled conditions ensuring the highest quality and flavor.
Custom Cuts and Personalisation
Request custom cuts, ensuring that the meat is exactly how you want it. Whether you’re looking for a specific thickness, cut for a recipe, or want to order a whole joint, we can provide the service to meet your needs.
Expert Advice
Our Goodwood Butchers have extensive knowledge about the different cuts of meat, cooking methods, and pairings. If you're unsure which cut is best for your meal or need advice on how to cook a particular type of meat, we can offer expert guidance to help you make the right choice.
Reduction of Plastic Waste
Unlike pre-packaged meat, which is often wrapped in plastic, the new butcher’s counter allows for packaging in eco-friendly alternatives, such as butcher’s paper or reusable containers. This approach has helped reduce our plastic usage 70%, making it a more sustainable option.
