The Bonhams|Cars sale has become as much a part of a Goodwood event as the action on track. The regular auction fixture is an established part of what goes on here, and the 82nd Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport is the first opportunity in 2025 to get your bids in.
Both road and competition cars feature in this year’s sale, and there’s a broad range of eras to choose from, too. Could there be a greater contrast than that between a 1912 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost and a Lamborghini Revuelto that’s not yet a year old? Special mention, too, for the 1922 Ballot 2LS that features the now quotidian arrangement of a dual overhead cam four-cylinder engine at a time when such technology was exotic.
The spread of competition cars is just as varied, with both a 1957 Austin A35 racing car and a 2002 Porsche 911 GT3 RS vying for bidders’ attention. There’s also a rally-spec 1979 Mercedes-Benz SLC ‘Rallywagen Coupé’ and a Group 1 Ford Capri that has Members’ Meeting pedigree.
The auction begins at 11:00 on Sunday, and you can register to bid remotely. Will you be snaring yourself a new car this weekend?
Tickets for the 83rd Members’ Meeting will be available for a limited time immediately after this year’s event for Members and Fellows of the GRRC. Admission and Grandstand tickets will go on sale on Monday 14th April for Members, and Wednesday 16th April for Fellows.
