Alpine has made its mark at the 82nd Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport, celebrating its 70th anniversary with a track parade of 70 cars on Saturday morning and a display on show to visitors across the whole weekend.

Jean Rédélé founded Alpine in 1955, dreaming of building lightweight sports to take on the best Porsche offerings. The firm was put firmly on the automotive map when the original A110 won the Monte Carlo Rally in 1973, with more success following when the Alpine A441 won the European Sports Car Championship in 1974 before the Renault Alpine A442B took outright victory at Le Mans in 1978.

Victory at the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix brought more (recent) silverware, and the company has also taken multiple Class and LMP2 wins at Le Mans.

Saturday’s parade featured cars from across the company's seven decades, covering A310s, GTAs, A610s, classic and current A110s and the latest addition to the fleet, the all-electric A290. Visitors can get up close and personal with the current line-up including the various iterations of the current A110 – the R, GT and S – and the new A290 EV at static displays sprinkled around the event.

The A110 R Ultimate, meanwhile, makes its UK debut after its Paris motor show reveal. Alpine's answer to a Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a hardcore track-ready machine with a bespoke aero package, exhaust system and suspension. Its 1.8-litre turbocharged engine is tuned to 350PS (257kW), producing 420Nm (310lb ft) for 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds.
