83rd Members’ Meeting race list

29th October 2025
Adam Wilkins

Temperatures are dropping, the nights are getting longer and the Goodwood motorsport season is done for another year. It might be too early to begin thinking about sunnier seasons, but it’s never too early to begin counting down the days until the Goodwood Motor Circuit echoes to the sound of competition for the first time in 2026.

We’re delighted to now be able to reveal the list of races for the 83rd Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport. Here’s what we have to look forward to over the weekend of 18th-19th April 2026.

Hailwood Trophy 83MM copy.jpg

Hailwood Trophy (ft. Sheene Trophy)

For Formula 750 and 250cc & 350cc two-stroke Grand Prix motorcycles

The Hailwood Trophy is the two-wheeled race of the Members’ Meeting weekend, and it has the added drama of a Le Mans-style start where riders have to run from the opposite side of the track before jumping on their machines and aiming to get to Madgwick first.

The race is run over two parts and you can expect to see machines like Yamaha TZ350Gs, Honda CB750s and Ducati 750Ss taking place. Formula 750 motorcycles compete alongside two-stroke 250cc and 350cc machines in Britain’s fastest historic bike battle.

SF Edge Trophy 83MM copy.jpg

S.F. Edge Trophy

For Edwardian cars, GN Specials and cars in the spirit of the early Brooklands races prior to 1923

Unlike the Goodwood Revival, which brings together cars that raced here in period, the Members’ Meeting doesn’t abide by the rules of that era. That means we can enjoy seeing cars that raced after the circuit closed in 1966 — and it also means the cars from long before the circuit opened in 1948 are also eligible.

The S.F. Edge Trophy grid features the largest collection of Edwardian cars and GN Specials of a kind that raced at Brooklands before World War I, and it creates a truly wonderful spectacle. These century-old cars have become among the most popular Members’ Meeting machines, and they will be back in 2026.

Win Percy Trophy 83MM copy.jpg

Win Percy Trophy

“VIP” race for Homologated Saloon Cars of a type that raced in FIA Appendix J Group 1 between 1970 and 1982 or the British Saloon Car Championship between 1976 and 1982 (Under 2.8-litres)

Introduced in 2025, the Win Percy Trophy is one of two saloon car categories for Members’ Meeting. The smaller engined cars will be driven by a host of VIP drivers and the grid will comprise the likes of Mini 1275GTs, Ford Escorts, Volkswagen Golfs and all manner of diminutive saloons built between 1976 and 1982.

Were it not for the race liveries, the grid would look like the school run from 40 years ago... until the flag drops and the VIP drivers go into door-to-door battle. Pure nostalgia.

Protheroe Cup 83MM copy.jpg

Protheroe Cup

For pre-1963 Jaguar E-types

Marking 65 years of the Jaguar E-type is the Protheroe Cup, exclusively for those models built before 1963. It’s bound to make a spectacular sight as the svelte Jaguars make their way around the circuit at speed in the most glamourous race of the weekend.

Dick Protheroe was famous for racing a series of privately prepared E-types in period, famously carrying ‘CUT’ registration numbers. You won’t want to miss this one-off fixture.

Derek Bell Cup 83MM copy.jpg

Derek Bell Cup

For 1,000cc F3 ‘screamers’

There’s not another sound quite like the Derek Bell Cup. It’s a field of 1,000cc Formula 3 ‘screamers’, and they haven’t earned that nickname for nothing. What’s more, these super lightweight single-seaters are often three or more abreast, making the most of every inch of the circuit as their drivers coax as much pace as possible from those high-revving, small capacity four-cylinder engines.

The great Derek Bell gives his name to the race. He may be best known for his five Le Mans victories, but earlier in his career he began making a name for himself in single-seaters. It’s this chapter of his career we’ll be celebrating at Members’ Meeting when these lightweight legends shatter the silence.

Varzi Trophy 83MM copy.jpg

Varzi Trophy

For 1920 and 1930s Grand Prix cars and Voiturettes

Another field of cars that predate Goodwood’s heyday form the Varzi Trophy grid. Formidable single-seaters from the 1920s and ’30s bring back to life the golden age of Grand Prix, with machines from makers like Alfa Romeo, ERA, Bugatti and Mercedes-Benz taking to the circuit.

The contest is named in honour of Achille Varzi, who won the first ever Formula 1 Grand Prix, held in Turin in 1946, aboard an Alfa Romeo 158.

Bruce McLaren Trophy

For pre-1966 Can-Am and Group 7 sportscars

You don’t just see and hear the Bruce McLaren Trophy, you feel it. A field full of Can-Am and Group 7 sportscars will do that, they make the ground rumble to their unsilenced V8s.

With the likes of Lola T70s, McLaren M1Bs and Cooper Monacos lining up on the grid, they’ll also put in some of the quickest lap times of the entire weekend in what is the fastest race in historic motorsport. This is not one you want to miss.

Phil Hill Cup 83MM copy.jpg

Phil Hill Cup

For pre-’67 sports and GT race inspired by the Sebring 12 Hours, 1964-’66

New for 2026 is the Phil Hill Cup, named after the 1961 F1 World Champion and the first winner of the endurance triple crown. Hill will won both the 12 Hours of Sebring (1958, ‘59 and ’61) and the Le Mans 24 Hours (1958, ’61, ’62) three times, and made history with victory at the 1964 Daytona 24 Hours.

This race takes its inspiration from his achievements at Sebring. Sport and GT cars from 1964-66 will make up the grid for the most powerful race of the event, which means you’ll see cars such as AC Cobras and Jaguar E-types.

Salvadori Cup 83MM copy.jpg

Peter Collins Trophy

For sportscars and production sports-racing cars of a type raced between 1950-’55

This year’s Peter Collins Trophy draws its grid from the first half of the 1950s in a celebration of the dawn of modern sportscar racing. The result promises to be one of the most beautiful grids of the entire 83rd Members’ Meeting weekend.

Jaguar D-types, Lister Knobblys, Ferrari 250s, Lotus 15s and their contemporaries might not set the fastest lap times, but the racing will be close and the spectacle unforgettable.
