The final day of the Revival began, in the same way as Friday and Saturday, with a vibrant parade of Type 2 Volkswagen Campers — an array that celebrated not only the finest examples of the model, but also the most flamboyant, psychedelic paintwork ever to grace the marque's legendary split-screen design.
A cultural icon of the 1960s, the Type 2 was everything from a rolling emblem of Flower Power to a touring band's workhorse, an ambulance, and, of course, a camper van. Racing, however, was never its forte.
The honour of opening the day’s racing fell instead to the diminutive yet ferociously competitive Formula Junior machines of the Chichester Cup — Elva-BMCs, Lola-Fords, and Stanguellini-Fiats, the very cars in which aspiring drivers once sharpened their skills before graduating to the larger, more powerful formulas.
From there, the action moved to the Sussex Trophy. This grid assembled a glittering field of World Championship sportscars and production-sports racing icons, including the Jaguar D-Type, the Lister-Jaguar Knobbly and their illustrious contemporaries. By the chequered flag, many bore the scars of battle, a reminder that beauty at Goodwood is rarely preserved in stasis — it is tested at speed.
And that is the essence of the Revival: an unmatched celebration of historic racing cars being driven as their makers intended. From the delightfully whimsical pedal car contest that is the Settrington Cup presented by Ralph Lauren, to the star-studded RAC TT Celebration and the crowd-pleasing drama of the St. Mary's Trophy presented by Motul for touring cars that closed the day, Sunday delivered every ounce of theatre expected.
Here, then, is a replay of the final day of the 2025 Goodwood Revival in its entirety, your chance to experience exactly what this unique event is all about.
