The rain gave way to bright sunshine on day two of the 2025 Goodwood Revival as we enjoyed more of the festivities that make this event so popular. The action on track was as dramatic as ever, and we’ve been busy capturing it all.
The day started as it did yesterday with a parade of 'Splitty' Type 2 Volkswagen Campers before we dived head long into the action with the Goodwood Trophy, a race for Grand Prix and Voiturette cars of a type that would have raced at Goodwood’s earliest race meetings in the 1940s.
That was enough to whet our appetite for a day of unmissable historic motor racing that included sumptuous GT racers from Jaguar E-types to AC Cobras in their second Official Practice session for the RAC TT Celebration, and the elegant motorcycles of the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy.
Elsewhere, the children of the Settrington Cup got their first run in their pedal-powered Austin J40s, there was the glamour of the open-top sportscars in the Madgwick Cup, the endless tussles of touring cars in the St Mary's Trophy, the sports and GT racers of the Fordwater Trophy and the seismic power of the Whitsun Trophy's sports prototypes.
The historic racing action came to an end as the sun set with the Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy to draw the curtains on another excellent day here at the Goodwood Revival.
We can’t wait to do it all again one more time on Sunday, where we can look forward to the main even of the weekend, the RAC TT Celebration.
