We may have mentioned at some point that we’re holding a bit of a celebration at this year’s Revival for a well-known Scot Squad that raced D-types to a walkover at Le Mans in 1957. They were quite the proponent and proprietor of the big cat at the enduros back in the day, such that, evidently, they had a better grasp of the potential of the D than even Jag themselves.
It would be wrong of us, therefore, to not send our crack snapper out to catch some prime period felines on-track during their pre-Revival prep' under the stewardship of CKL. D-types, a Jaguar-engined Lister and C-types, of varied team allegiance (including Ecosse) took to the circuit alongside a variety of other essential Revival racing machinery. Ferrari 250 SWB, Frazer Nash Le Mans and a mighty Cobra joined the big cats. What’s your pick of the lot? We’d take an Ecosse D-type for some lappery, please and thanks…
