2025 Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy preview | Goodwood Revival

There’s no other race like the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy, it’s the place to get your motorcycle fix during the Goodwood Revival weekend. With its Le Mans-style start and knee-down action, it's established itself as a regular highlight of the weekend.

In period, motorcycles raced on just one day at Goodwood. On 14^th April 1951, the circuit hosted everything from 250cc motorcycles to 1,200cc sidecars, and it’s that spring day from more than seven decades ago that’s recreated with the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy.

For 2025’s Revival, the grid will be populated by machinery built between 1948 and 1966, so expect to see Norton Manx 30Ms, Matchless G50s and BMWs battling it on Goodwood’s fast curves. It’s a 25-minute two-rider race.

The Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy is named after the two-time Grand Prix motorcycle champion who competed in his final race on British soil at the Goodwood Revival in 2002.
