29th July 2025

Our full coverage from Friday at the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard begins by taking a closer look at this year's Central Feature. Gerry Judah's giant Gordon Murray Automotive sculpture stars the great designer’s Brabham BT52 F1 car and his latest supercar, the T.50.

The GMA sculpture neatly encapsulates what you can expect to see in the nine hours’ worth of coverage we’re presenting here, as every type of road car, racing car and motorbike you can imagine hurtles up the Hill.

We take a closer look at a convoy of McLaren F1s waiting in line before it's time to get the dynamic coverage off to a start with a sneak preview of Toyota's new sportscar, the GT Concept, as it launches off the start-finish line.

It's a great way to start a packed line-up that included a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Formula 1 World Championship, the supercar run, motorbikes new and old, an air display from the Red Arrows, timed practice runs for the cars competing in the Timed Shoot-Out, and a balcony celebration of two-time World Champion, Carl Fogarty.

The batch for this year’s theme, The Winning Formula, featured successful cars from all corners of motorsport, from the Indy 500-winning March and cars such as the McLaren F1 and Porsche 962C.

Soon enough, we witness the Ford SuperTruck, the company's electric challenger for the Timed Shoot-Out, to fire itself onto the Hill with the explosiveness of a steam-powered catapult. Sparky by name and by nature, the truck literally sets the track on fire, sparks from its diffuser igniting the hay bales that line the Hill.

Then it’s back to business as we join Karun Chandhok heading up the Hill in Kimi Raikkonen's MP4-21 McLaren F1 car before the cameras turn to a chat with Porsche ambassador and F1 race winner, Mark Webber, talking about Porsche's latest cars and managing Oscar Piastri. From the manager of a current F1 driver to the family of one of the greats, we also hear from Bruno Senna, nephew of Ayrton Senna, and Holly McRae, daughter of Colin McRae.

The stars, the machines, the emotion — it was all on show on Friday at the 2025 Festival of Speed, and now the whole day is available for you to relive right here.
