Welcome to the 20 best runs of Saturday at the 2025 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, and what a line-up. Representing V12s, we have the Pagani Huayra R Evo Roadster and McLaren F1 GTR, the latter of which is the car that won the 1995 Le Mans 24 Hours on debut.
Flying the flag for V10s, we have Williams team principal James Vowles driving the 3.5-litre V10-powered FW14B, the track-only McLaren Solus GT and Michael Schumacher’s 1999 Ferrari F399.
In the V8 corner we have the Lanzante McLaren P1 HDK, BMW M3 GTR and the Brawn BGP 001. Bruno Senna was also spearing the McLaren 750S up the Hill, with a 765LT going sideways not long afterwards and James Deane going very, very sideways in his Ford Mustang RTR drift car.
The most curious car of the video is the 1931 Maserati Tipo 26M, with a 2.8-litre straight-eight engine that has zero problems overcoming its cross-ply rear tyres.
Every V6 engine in our Saturday round-up is turbocharged and in an F1 car, with Ollie Bearman driving the Haas VF24, Esteban Ocon at the wheel of the Haas VF23, and four-time World Champion Alain Prost in his 1988 McLaren MP4/4.
Representing the four-cylinder we have Ryan Tuerck’s Toyota Stout drift car, plus a GR Yaris Rally1 that really hates to go in a straight line, and living the rotary dream is Mad Mike Whiddett in his FD RX-7 'HUMBUL’. Considering so many cars in this video are being driven to the point that their tyres want to make a break for freedom, it’s quite incredible that Mike manages to actually set his own tyres on fire.
Finally, giving us some peace and quiet, we have the electric Ford F-150 Lighting SuperTruck and the Rimac Nevera R. Cool cars, but we like noise, even if our ears don’t.
