Praga Bohema set for its dynamic debut at the Festival of Speed

30th May 2025

Festival of Speed aficionados may remember the Praga R1’s run to sixth in the Timed Shoot-Out back in 2021, and since then the Czech manufacturer has been busy preparing its road-ready hypercar, the Praga Bohema, with an extended and intense testing programme.

Now in 2025, the Bohema is ready for delivery to its first customers, and Praga will hand over the first three completed cars to their new owners during the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard.

It’s now being put through its paces to see just how fast it is. Most recently, it’s been in action at Dunsfold where it set a lap record for a pure combustion-engined car. A time of 1:09.8 brought the Praga within a tenth of a second of the Aston Martin Valkyrie’s best time.

Weighing just 1,000kg and packing around 700PS (515kW) from its 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6, the Bohema is about as extreme as it's possible to go with a road-legal machine, and we’ll see it in action at Goodwood for the first time when it takes to the Hill at the Festival of Speed.

With a full carbon-fibre body sculpted using a Formula 1 wind tunnel to produce more than 900kg of downforce at 155mph, it’s equipped with racing suspension and carbon ceramic brakes which combine to deliver performance that you’d expect to be more at home on a race track, but Praga has said its car will be equally capable on the road.

The three lucky owners will receive the keys to their new Praga cars, each hand built to bespoke specifications in the Czech Republic, during a special moment at the Festival of Speed which will also see them get their first experience as a passenger on the famous Goodwood Hillclimb.

The 2025 Festival of Speed takes place on 10th-13th July. Friday and Saturday tickets are now sold out, but Thursday and limited Sunday tickets are still available.
