This could well be the most distinguished Cartier Style et Luxe concourse d’elegance we’ve ever seen here at the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. The Cartier Lawn is always a hive of excellence, but few years have featured quite such a pantheon of automotive legends.
If it’s opulence that piques your interest, you’ll be catered for by some of the most esteemed Rolls-Royce Phantoms in history. This collection of Phantom Is includes the unmistakeable ‘Phantom of Love’, which represents all of the excess that continues to define the marque 100 years later.
You may however be more drawn to brute power, in which case a selection of the world’s most significant Bugatti Veyrons will be more up your street. Each packing more than 1,000PS, the potential on display on the Cartier Lawn this year is scarcely imaginable.
There’s more niche appeal courtesy of classes for Facel Vega and Invicta S-types, two manufacturers with distinguished histories of making comfortable tourers with a performance twist.
An array of Alpinas will no doubt get onlookers hot under the collar as they explore Cartier’s celebration of the brand’s 60th anniversary. Alpina’s close relationship with BMW is legendary and spawned some of the more iconic performance cars of the 1970s and ’80s, many of which you can explore up close at the 2025 Festival of Speed.
The heat continues to rise to almost inappropriate levels with a stunning display of cars designed by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, a list of cars that includes the Aston Marin DB4, Maserati 3500 GT and Lamborghini 350 GT.
And the 2025 Cartier Style et Luxe is completed by a class that includes the original white van. ‘Masters of the Moving Arts’ includes the finest examples of early logistics vehicles including the Ford Transit and the Trojan Van. Each has more than deserved its place on the Lawn, and we love to see such variety represented at the Festival of Speed.
