The list of Formula 1 World Champions attending the 2025 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard keeps growing, and now we can add Nigel Mansell the mix as it’s confirmed he will be joining Alain Prost and Mario Andretti as part of Goodwood’s F1 75 celebration.
Mansell returns to the Festival of Speed for the fourth time, having last been in action on the Hill in 2022, where we witnessed the return of Mansell Mania as he starred behind the wheel of his Championship-winning Williams FW14B.
He’ll climb into that car again in 2025, but this year he’ll also be driving the Williams FW11, the car that should have carried him to the title in 1986, but for a catastrophic tyre failure to scupper his chances 18 laps from the end of the final round at Adelaide.
Goodwood welcomes Mansell to the Festival of Speed as part of this year’s F1 75 celebrations, which will be the definitive commemoration of the history of the World Championship. He joins the Champions class, which will see him attend alongside a number of legendary drivers, more of which will be announced over the coming weeks.
“I’m looking forward to returning to the Festival of Speed this summer and celebrating 75 years of the Formula 1 World Championship,” Mansell said. “It’s been amazing to drive the Goodwood Hillclimb in a number of my cars over the years, and I can’t wait to do it all again!”
The 2025 Festival of Speed takes place on 10th-13th July. Friday and Saturday tickets are now sold out, but Thursday and limited Sunday tickets are still available.
