The Goodwood Breakfast Club has become a staple of our year. We know that many of you feel the same given the number of people who set an early alarm for a Sunday morning in order to attend our series of themed events during the spring and summer months.
And is there any wonder the scent of breakfast baps and the sounds of supercars and sportscars attract so many enthusiasts when the calibre of cars on display is so consistently high? At the Taxed and Tasty themed event earlier this month – for cars built since 1985, the cut-off date for tax exemption – the GRRC Showcase was for cars bearing Prancing Horse badges. The pit garages opposite the Jackie Stewart Pavilion were taken over by machines from Maranello, and what a sight this special showcase of supercars created.
We had a stunning white Testarossa lining up with a pair of F40s, while more modern machinery was represented by the Enzo from this century and a bang up-to-date 12Cilindri. Like the Testarossa, it sidestepped the obvious rosso paint, this time in favour of blue. Event-goers could also feast their eyes on a 550, a rare 575 Superamerica and a 430 Scuderia.
The Goodwood Breakfast Club never fails to attract rare cars, and the themes of the coming events mean there will be an even broader age range of cars. The next date for the diary is Supercar Sunday which will take place on 1st June. You know where to be in order see a host of rare, special cars...
